Long Arm Quilting Services

When this photo was shot, my quilt top was still in the works.  It is a Block of the Month pattern, the last one finished in the BEE group! It was quite a project! I was so tired of it, I left out some parts just to call it DONE, and now it's one of my favorites for relaxing in front of the tv.

First Step

When you bring your pieced top to me, I can help you select a complimentary quilting pattern, and thread color. I offer comparable prices and a 2-3 week turn-around. Don’t fold that quilt and leave it to lose its voice stuffed in a closet! Your creativity deserves a grand TA-DA finish!

Design

Let's finish your dream. When you contact me via the button below, you have options:

I choose a design and thread

         We collaborate

         You choose.

Thousands of commercially available digital pantos are available. I have 100+ designs in my current inventory.  You could easily get overwhelmed! Laurel is just one of my favorites. I'll walk you through the process.

Thread

Threads most often (but not always!) chosen are neutral, allowing the fabrics and piecing to take center stage. I carry Glide, So Fine and Omni threads. The Glide has a slight sheen. Others appear to be cotton, but are poly, and therefore stronger and less likely to be weakened by insects over time.

My personal preference is to choose a thread similar to the lighter or medium value areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference of thread color. I also prefer to match the same or a similar thread color for the top as for the bottom of the quilt. That is a preference, not a rule!

Batting

I stock my favorite Quilters Dream batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend, bamboo, wool and 100% cotton. I have limited quantities of wool and bamboo batting in stock, please ask for availability. Black batting is also an option if you used white in your quilt top and want it to look cheerful and bright, or used a backing that has color only on one side. Now that's wierd! Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.

Photos

I enjoy taking photos of quilts indoors and out. Upon completion of the quilting, I will take a photo in natural lighting. Then I’ll text/email you those images to use however you would like. I just ask that you credit me for the photo and/or quilting if posting publicly. There is no charge for this service.

Cost

I presently charge .0225 cents per square inch for all designs. I anticipate an increase in early 2024.

Rough estimates are:

Baby $30; Crib $42; Throw $74; Twin $145; Double/Full $206; Queen $218

Thread, batting and tax are not included.

After the work is complete, I will text or email you. I take cash, checks, PayPal and Venmo.
